When you sign in with Google, you grant ClassroomPilot read-only access to: your Google profile and email address; your Google Classroom courses, classwork, class materials, announcements and topics; and your own submissions and grades. If you use the file picker, we also receive the text of the single file you choose (Google's drive.file permission only lets us open files you pick or that we create). We also read the content of Google Docs, Slides and Sheets files attached to your classwork, and, only when you approve a specific change in your AI assistant, we edit your own submission copy of a Google Doc.
We use this data only to answer requests you make through your AI assistant, such as listing assignments, showing instructions and rubrics, and reading attached files, so that the assistant can help you with your coursework. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
delete_my_data or by emailing us.Classroom content is fetched when you ask for it and passed to your AI assistant. We do not keep a copy of your coursework, with two exceptions that you start yourself: (1) if you share a PDF or Word file through the file picker, its extracted text is stored encrypted for 30 days so your assistant can read it again; (2) documents you ask us to render as LaTeX are held for one hour to let you open them in Overleaf, and a copy is saved in your own Google Drive.
Data we return goes to the AI assistant you connected (for example ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini). That provider handles it under its own privacy policy.
We do not share your Google user data with anyone except: your connected AI assistant at your request; our hosting provider (Cloudflare), which processes data on our behalf; and when required by law.
ClassroomPilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which revokes our access. To have the stored connection records deleted, email privacy@raycode.tech; we will delete them within 30 days.
Connections use HTTPS. Stored tokens are encrypted. Content from Classroom is treated as untrusted and is labelled as data for your AI assistant.
